The cool scarves on the block

Don't you just hate blocking? I certainly do. Can't think of anything worse than the whole process of blocking. What a chore but .............
I just love the look of a blocked scarf. The stitches are so straight and perfect.
The lacey pattern is shows to it's full beauty.
And a scarf that looked like a green blob of seaweed comes out looking like this.
Blocking is the magic part of knitting.

The lace scarf is so pretty, much better application of feather and fan pattern than my "thing".

The varigated one reminds me of the video on YouTube. Yep, perfectly straight stitches.

I love the green scarf! I think that's part of the reason I like to knit lace. You knit forever, and have a blob of yarn, but when you wet it and stretch it, it's like a butterfly breaking free from a cocoon. :)

I love that green lace scarf! The blocking is a pain, but well worth it. Good job!

Both are very pretty. The yarn in the green one is beautiful!

The scarves are beautiful. What is the yarn used for the black one? And I agree with you, I hate to block but it makes a world of difference.

Diane, I have two words for you: blocking wires.

I just got my first set not long ago from Knitpicks ($30) and they have changed my life.

So, so, so worth the investment. You will stop hating blocking. I promise.
