Birthday cards and sinus issues .......

One of my favorite things about having young children around is the handmade cards. I loved them when my children were small and I love them more coming from my grandchildren. This is W's card.
Notice the mixed media. Nice use of random letters. Bold color choices used to tell a story.

The brown square in the lower right corner is "my brother and me in a box. We're just playing." The triangle toward the left middle is their house with the circles representing some of the rooms. The lines next to it are the stairs going down to the basement and the black lines over that are "the clothes line in the basement". The blue circle in the lower left is "grandpa on his boat when the sun is shining".
N's was a little more abstract but very colorful. A man of few words but many markers.
Weather is changing so wicked sinus headache today. Hummm, think I'll pop a couple sinutabs. Gotta love the childproof packaging on these. I realize they need to do something but this isn't childproof it's human proof.

Unwilling to put up with the humiliation of not being able to open this packaging I decided to try a different tactic.

Stupid pills.....

I love little kids drawings. N & W's drawings are super cute.
I can feel your sinus pain. I've been fighting a head cold these past couple of days. Hope the meds help you feel better.

Handmade cards are the best. My youngest DD still makes them for me.
Human proof pills: What is that all about anyway? Just hand it to a kid and they can get them open in a flash, but me? By the time I'm finished opening them, I have 10 X the pain.........from a tension headache! Go figure.

Seeing those cards brings back wonderful memories. I have a large plastic box up in the attic filled with my sons artwork that needs going through.

Oh gosh, I love your cards. They are true treasures to hang on to, and then bring out again and again over the years. Sorry to hear about your sinus problem too. I agree with you, they work too hard to make the packages tamper proof (I gather that is the purpose)but that doesn't help when we need to get at quickly! haha Thanks for the chuckle. I needed it.

Have a great day. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I agree about the 16" cable for Options. They also need to do an Options set of itty-bitty sock needles!

Love those cards! My 6 yr old makes some really funny ones. My 4 yr old would rather hug you (or punch you in the arm!).
