The sauce incident

Plugging along on socks for the grandsons. Finished another sock for W and almost done with my first pair for N. Love knitting kid socks since they go soooo much faster than grown up ones.

Everything was going well until last night when my pot of sauce decided to spit at me before I had a chance to remove the excess oil from the top. Instant burn.
I woke up with this today. Hard to imagine but it really doesn't hurt at all. And that's a good thing since I have another 1.5 pr of socks to finish by Saturday before the little men come over.

Ouch!! I hate doing that. Great sock though. You are one seriously fast knitter. Here i was impressed that I managed to get a couple of inches of a pair of sock done last night and here you have almost completed another pair.

Ouch! Hope it heals soon. Burns are really painful, I think. Have you tried putting aloe on it? It helps the burn heal faster. Get well soon, and very cute socks!

Ouch! I had grease splatter on my next once.
Better get those socks finished for the little men. They are going to be expecting their socks. :~)

found you through uber- I'm with mia on the ring- that's lovely. I'm with you on socks for little ones. I made a pair for husbands 3 year old granddaughter that took about 4 hours. His children were quite impressed!

First I am playing catch up on reading blogs. I hope your grandson is doing better.

Your knitting is beautiful as always. I just bought the Opinonated Knitter too. I love the book.

Take care of that burn and keep on knitting.
