On the needles, off the needles

Ok, still on high alert over here waiting for my new granddaughter. She just doesn't seem to want to come out and be spoiled to death. I don't know what people who don't knit do to pass time. So while I'm passing time I've been working on these .... hubby's sock .... shawl to repeat 4 out of 14.

I'm going to say right now that while I know I can knit lace I'm coming to the conclusion that I am not a lace knitter. Too much concentration needed althought I'm learning a lot from the project. These are for a project I shouldn't be casting on until I've finished a couple things but I know I'll never be able to resist. We have balls of Knitpicks crayon and some train buttons so you know already it's going to be something for the little men.
I completed these on Sunday. They are socks for hubby Lana Grossa #6538. First time I've ever used this yarn and I have to say it's very nice. Gotta see how it washes and dries before I give it a thumbs up. Just to note that I don't make matching socks. I feel that life is too short to worry about matching your socks.
And I finished these Saturday. Some more CIC socks just waiting for the ends to be tucked safely away.

The Meilenweit holds up very well. My son, who is very hard on socks, actually outgrew a pair of them before he wore them out. How many little toes have you knit socks for now, it has to be close to 200. I need to knit a few pair for CIC too.

Obviously this little grand darling is going to be a little diva....after all she IS holding off for a grand entrance sounds like!!! What a joy to have a sweet little girl on the way....even if she is stubborn about coming!! She probably knows when she gets here you'll have little time to knit and she wants you to finish up your projects! LOL!!

Wow! I'm always amazed when I see some of the things my knitter friends knit. (I'm not a knitter, but an artsy sort that totally appreciates the gift of any craft or art) Your hubby's socks look store bought, the others are just so dang cute! Hope your little Princess arrives soon! *hug*

The Lana Grossa Milenweit are my favourite 'standard' sock yarn. They're so soft and what I prefer to buy nowadays over Opal and Regia. And very hard wearing too!

Hope your new addition arrives soon ;)

I hope she arrives soon so everyone can start spoiling her!
Lots of new socks! You've been busy! As for lace, I like lace lots but I have to be in the mood to work on it.
